This course will be an in depth exploration of what yoga is, in its deeper sense, and how it can enrich the life experience. Participants will be given the tools to make spiritual practice a core part of their life in a safe, joyous way. This course is tailored for all, regardless of their position on the yogic or spiritual path, with a focus on understanding the roots of the practice and how they can help us to blossom.

Though each day will focus on particular themes or concepts, each session will be tailored to the experience and interests of the individuals present, including those who have attended previous workshops. This will allow us to explore concepts according to your own level of understanding and stage of the journey. Participants are encouraged to be familiar with yoga philosophy and/or to bring their own questions for discussion.

*What is Yoga? Sun 14th of July
What do the terms yoga, meditation and samadhi actually mean? We will come to understand all of these terms and more in order to understand what we are practising.

*How to Practise Yoga? Sun 21st of July
Yoga is more than just asana! The examples of posture (asana), breathing (pranayama), and meditation (pratyahara, dharana, dhyana), will be used to incorporate the practical examples of yoga into everyday life.

*The Living Practice. Sunday 28th of July
Philosophy cannot exist in the intellect alone - it has to be practised. This final week will focus on practising yoga with a new understanding.
